This is just a small demo of my tool from Unity Asset Store: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/91528 Right mouse button to select an object you want to paint on. Middle mouse button to orbit. I have reduced terrain detail, and moved normalize(viewDir) to fragment function. Don't normalize view direction in vertex. It may seem like there are no difference, but you will see seams when trying to merge terrain and geometry.
